I was born in Devon in 1973, in a very beautiful village. Growing up in the countryside is a privilege and I know the characters and life there has had a big impact on who I wanted to become. I realised that art was the thing I wanted to pursue when I was about 20, although I had studied it before that age I found art at school rather unimaginative.
I studied Sculpture initially, then turned to painting in 1999. After seven years applying for an MA in London I eventually got into the Royal College of Art.
I now live and paint in my house in Stoke Newington, where I also help run Madame Lillie’s project space/gallery.
The work on this website has all been executed since leaving the Royal College in 2006.
